Paperback

William and Doris Martin live in Kansas City, Missouri and have been married since 1980. They are both retired and are first-time authors. Their book, Dreams and Adventures: The Edwin Hubble Story was inspired by William's aunt, Mildred Wells Venditto, who gave two large boxes to William each filled with postcards, pictures, diaries, and more saved by her grandfather and parents in Marshfield, Missouri, from the late 1800s to early 1900s.

As William sorted through things, he discovered a group picture from the Marshfield Public School that not only showed his grandfather, but also showed Edwin Hubble among all of the students. Edwin Hubble had been born in Marshfield, Missouri, and attended the Marshfield Public School for almost four years. William decided to do more research on Edwin Hubble, and the more he researched, the more he found. He discovered a connection between his own mother's family and Edwin Hubble's mother's family, and that is what Dreams and Adventures: The Edwin Hubble Story is about.
